We love them; we hate them, but can’t live without them. But does the same holds true for the men also. It is quite a rare sight to see a man dropping his guard, sharing his most inner most thoughts, his disappointments, his fears, his defeats………
A man would never tell his closest mate (gf/wife) what he is going through, what reasons define his actions, not even what he thinks of her. Maybe they are not as complex as their female counterparts or have the prerogative of mood swings and PMS, but that doesn’t make them any easy to comprehend. To know a man you have to know their mind (which thinks so differently) , know their heart ( there is so much hidden there) , and of course their stomach ( a man loves a good meal for sure).
But why is it that the man would keep it all to himself. He will tell safest of the safe secrets to any of his male friend, but probably not to a female (even his closest mate for that matter). Is it the fear of revealing his vulnerable softer side, baring it all? Does that make him any less masculine? Does that make him any less strong (physically/emotionally)? I don’t know! Can’t figure it out……….
Probably he sees himself as the rock solid support upon which the female leans for support. How can that support have doubts, fears, and defeats and get weak and vulnerable? But is it not human to go through all of this, to have different emotions? Is it the nature of life to go in ups and downs, even for a man?
It is researched that females talk double as much as their male counterparts. I guess that is because men don’t say more than half what they ought to say. It would be so much easier and simple for us if the men just spoke their mind and sometimes from their heart too………
